🤖 What is Meta Muse Spark?
Meta Muse Spark is Meta’s most advanced AI model ever — launched on April 8, 2026 by Meta Superintelligence Labs, led by Alexandr Wang (former CEO of Scale AI). It is the first model in the new “Muse” family and a complete ground-up rebuild of Meta’s entire AI system.
Unlike Meta’s previous open-source Llama models, Muse Spark is a proprietary, natively multimodal reasoning model — meaning it was trained on text, images and tools together from day one. It supports tool-use, visual chain-of-thought reasoning, and multi-agent orchestration (called Contemplating mode).
Muse Spark is available now at meta.ai and the Meta AI app — and is rolling out to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and Meta Ray-Ban AI glasses. Meta invested over $14.3 billion and spent 9 months rebuilding its AI stack to produce this model.

🏗️ Pretraining
A completely rebuilt pretraining stack with improved model architecture, optimization, and data curation. Reaches the same capability level as Llama 4 Maverick using over 10x less compute — a massive efficiency leap.
🎯 Reinforcement Learning
After pretraining, RL amplifies model capabilities smoothly and predictably. Shows log-linear growth in accuracy — improving reliability without losing reasoning diversity across training steps.
⏱️ Test-Time Reasoning
RL trains the model to “think” before answering. Muse Spark uses thought compression to solve problems with fewer tokens, then extends reasoning for stronger performance — delivering more intelligence per token.
